Yes, we can also translate only agreed sections of your annual report. However, we recommend that you always submit the complete report, even if only parts of it are to be translated. This has several advantages.
It is extremely important for translators to gain background insight in order to be able to translate texts in the right context. Misinterpretations can be avoided by providing the complete source document. Furthermore, this is the only way to ensure consistency of terminology and linguistic style between translations.
If the previous annual report has already been translated by Interlingua, it is particularly easy to save costs this way. Our software automatically recognizes which passages are unchanged and calculates these as complete matches (see Working with CAT tools). This means that existing translations are transferred over and you save costs accordingly.
If your annual reports have previously been translated internally or by another provider, we can carry out a so-called alignment to transfer the translation of the previous version to your new annual report. To do this, we need both the external translation and the source file of the previous version. The two documents are linked sentence by sentence in the CAT tool. This means that third-party translations can ultimately be recognized and adopted by the software.
However, to ensure a successful alignment, it is important that the quality of the external translation is suitable for this process. If there are linguistic errors or inappropriate terminology in the third-party translation, we are happy to offer you an additional revision of the previous version.
