3) Use of our website

a) Google Analytics with the extension “anonymize IP”

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). In order to adhere to data protection obligations, we have made special arrangements for Google Analytics to remove the last part of the IP address (“anonymize IP”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies“. Cookies are text files which are stored on the user’s computer and enable analysis of their use of the website.

The information generated by the use of cookies is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The last three digits of the IP address are truncated (anonymize IP), which makes it impossible for Google to assign the transmitted IP address to a particular person. Google uses the information generated by the use of cookies for the purpose of evaluating the user’s use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing additional services associated with website and internet usage.

Third parties, including Google, place ads on websites and use stored cookies based on a user’s previous visits to this website. Google may also transmit this information to third parties insofar as this is mandated by law or for third parties to process this data on behalf of Google. The anonymised IP address transmitted by the user’s browser will not be associated with any other data held by Google. By using this website, the user agrees to the processing of his/her collected data by Google as described and for the purposes set out above.

The user can refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate browser settings and can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and data related to his/her use of the website (including the IP address) as well as the use of such data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in that is available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Please find more information on the terms of use and data protection at www.google.com/analytics/terms/gb.html or https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/de/.
